Early Dawes 'The Edge Team'. Anyone got any pics or info ???

I've found two others ... ... but all decals are from the 1992 "Edge" and "Edge eXTRa"-models, at the wrong place and clear coat overpainted (the lower two pics). I've got it - it's a "Rough Trade" from about 1991 with Reynolds 501 Magnum Cr.-Mo. frame (seat- / top- and down-tube only)...

    BOTM August: British Special

Re: 1992 Dawes The Edge eXTRa Yes, for sure. The Dawes fillet brazing method was not so smooth like Roberts, Yates and ... but more than good enough for me and a hard ride. It's the first complete fillet brazed MTB frame from Dawes.

    BOTM August: British Special

1992 Dawes The Edge eXTRa One more Dawes? The one and only Dawes "The Edge eXTRa" from 1992 - Reynols 531 Designer Select and mixed with a M900 / M910 group. Pimped with a rare Reynolds 753 handlebar.

It's the same as at my "Edge" with 531 Magnum Tubes. Yes - since 1993. Regards, Daniel.

Early Dawes 'The Edge Team'. Anyone got any pics or info ???

Your "Special" is 18" - the "unknown" is 20" (seems to me). @ marge602: What Seatpost-Diameter fit them? @ drcarlos: Any Pictures? The RockShox Mag was only an option - normally they came out with the GeoMax-forkes (Reynolds 531).

I think, it could be a Dawes "Reynolds 531 Magnum" frame like the "Raw Nerve" - very hardcore. 8)

    Whats your defense against chainSuck?

I bought such a thing: http://www.roseversand.de/artikel/xtrem ... aid:162255 ... and fitted it under the chainstay - cheap and it works.

Grello came across the pond! (my project fat chance yo-eddy)

    British Steel

I think, my Dawes “Edge” and “Edge eXTRa” from 1992 are too cheaply  to start an extra topic of the built-up, but both are manufactured from british steel. 8) The 1992 "Edge" was the last with full Reynolds 531 Magnum frame and fork tubes, the 1992 "Edge eXTRa" was the first fillet...
