Anyone know what the thread size would be on a 92 Kilauea brake boss? One of mine is proving a handful trying to mount the can'ti. I don't want to force it too much and risk snapping the boss off. So I'd like to get a tap and just clean it out. Diameter is easy enough to suss but the pitch...

I think I need something like in the photo below to route both mech cables under the BB on my Kilauea. There's nothing on the frame. Is this a Kona specific part or a universal part? Thanks

Yes the more I think about it the more I'm against doing it. I also thought of using some helitape type covering but I think this would be too conspicuous and ruin the look of the frame. I'll probably just leave it and get new decals in future should I get any issues. Thanks

Thanks everyone! So it is possible but I need to consider whether to try the diy. I've rattle canned one fresh before using spraybike paint and it came out 'ok'. The frame is original colour and looks mint!

Having acquired a beautiful powder coated Kilauea frame with new decals perfectly applied, I'm milling over clear coating it to protect those decals (some of them are quite small and intricate and it would only take a stray knee to start to peel them). Any advice from anyone who's done this...
