Just spoke to a nice lady at Pace. The frame is so new, there are no magasine reviews. It is a lovely looking frame, but she told me the weight was 2.35kg, which I think is 5.18lbs - seems proper heavy! must be all that fillet brazing and the sliding rear dropouts?! Not sure what...

Pace RC104 XC Chaps, just saw that Chain Reaction are doing the Pace RC104 XC for £456 - and I can get 10% off with a paypal voucher. Worth considering? They have none in stock, but assume they are special order. Anyone seen or heard anything about them? They are very pretty...

hmm - I have a stand over of about 28" - I am a right short arse! Always lusted after a Rocky Mountain Blizzard back in the day, remember one in white with all the black shiny syncros kit - was my dream bike when I bought my Aluminium O from Freetown in Hull LOL 19.5" too large sadly :(

yeah I have, I like the look of the Handjob, but do like the UK heritage involved in the design of the Soul. Did see some frames on ebay for £330 though - but my heart is saying wait until you have the funds for a Soul. There is something about it!

ah but does it feel light and springy to ride? I guess I am trying to buy the ultimate steel HT, for second hand money. Rather than a sensible, good value frame :) Appreciate all the advice though!

yeah, had a look. damned cool, but I need a lighter bike for commuting plus trail riding fun! don't really fancy riding 10 miles to work on the on one! just pulled out of buying nice second hand 16" Cotic Soul - older model, but had v brake bosses and disk mounts - ugly! and also...

nearly got my grubby mitts on one, but had a few too many dents in it on the down tube! so still looking! :) Steve
