    Raleigh RSP CX Bike

Looking for a Raleigh RSP cyclocross bike, Reynolds 853. I'm looking for either a complete bike or a frame/fork in a large size (57-59cm). I am located on the east coast USA. If international shipping doesn't work, I know someone in Oxford who may be able to facilitate. Thanks!

    Raleigh 853 Cyclocross Bike

I'm looking for a Raleigh 853 cyclocross bike, in a large size (I'm 6'0"). I'm interested in a complete bike or just a frame/fork. They weren't imported to the USA as far as I know, so the search has been difficult! I am located on the east coast of the USA. Any links/leads appreciated as well...

    1985 Raleigh Mountain Tour "Rocky"

Nope, the "Rocky" is clearly visible on both sides of the top tube. I believe it was sold as a Canada-only model, for some reason. Maybe a 1985 Raleigh Canada brochure could clear things up a bit.

    1985 Raleigh Mountain Tour "Rocky"

Didn't think I'd see another one of these! Here's my thread: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... highlight= I've since updated it with different tires and different brakes (a pain, because those 80s Raleigh frames have the wrong type brake studs). Definitely a fun bike, I believe it was...

    DBR Something?

Cool, thanks for clearing up the model jango! I guess the bike was built up in '97. The tubing sticker says "DBR Designed 7005 Aluminum Double-Butted Oversize Tubing." How should I go about polishing the frame?

    DBR Something?

Just picked this up yesterday. Haven't even cleaned it at all. I know nothing about DBR, just figured it was a good deal for $85 (about 50GBP I guess?) I have no clue what model or year it is- any help? Shimano XT cranks, V-brakes (but a canti hanger on the frame), front derailleur. XTR levers...

    Raleigh brake bosses on backwards?

They're definitely permanently attached and put that way on purpose. What other kinds of brakes will work? Does anyone want to trade a pair of Dia-compe 986's for some Deore LX's? :P

    Raleigh brake bosses on backwards?

I just bought some Deore LX canti's to fit on an old Raleigh MTB (ATB?) frame. But, when I went to put on the rears I saw that the holes that accept the brake spring are on the outside of the brake stud, rather than the inside. Is this common? Do any brakes work with this?

    Best bolt on deraillleur hanger?

I have a bike with a bolt on derailleur hanger (like this: ). It's a little worn, and after I tightened the wheel down properly it slipped in the dropouts. What's the best bolt-on derailleur hanger? Is there one that will withstand mountain biking? Thanks.
