    Re: The frame and forks are now being powder coated. New head bearings sourced. Just looking at stripping the rear wheel and freewheel to find that someone has had a go at undoing the freewheel with a hammer and brick. Time for a bit of grinding and off to purchase the proper tool.

    I stripped the simplex down at work today and found that a jockey wheel had been damaged. Luckily I live 5mins away from Mercian's shop.

    Re: The steering was very notchy. So I have stripped it down and the bearings look fine. the cups do look at first glance to be worn. I have bought the simplechromed work so that I can give it a bath in our chem cleaner, and i am going to find out about getting the frame dipped and re chromed

    Re: Picked up the cobra today a little more scruffy than the picture shows. The frame number is 7022975. Where can I get head bearing cups from? Would it be wrong to turn it in to a 10 speed.
