A friend showed me a Colnago he's recently inherited. It says "Colnago Super" on the chainstay. I wasn't really sure what to look for at the time, and the lighting was great, but it was a dark red metallic, chromed fork and dropouts (and maybe head tube lugs), round tubes, Columbus tubing...

Just wondered if anyone has a pair or two of these...

Thanks, ishaw I'll see how I get on with the non-sprung levers. It's a long recumbent bike, so has about a 2.5metre cable run with full housing. I saw that Box One levers make a slight thing about having a spring, so wondered about the benefits.

I'm building up a bike with V brakes, and pondering what to buy. From what I can tell some of the lightweight levers don't have return springs, so I'm wondering... what are the pros and cons of levers with\without return springs?

Lovely! What are they? Is the one at the back the 653 model? I always wished mine was something more exotic, but it's still a nice riding bike, and it looks good. I don't ride it much nowadays as I have problems with my fingers going numb (I ride recumbents instead) but have taken it out for...

It's not a great picture, but here's a recent-ish one. I've owned the bike since new, and it's pretty much as standard, complete with Biopace chainrings etc!

Thanks! I think my one (a silver Stronglight) is a similar length - possibly a little longer, as the limit mark looks slightly more conservative on the Atax one.

My Peugeot 531 Altus has an aero seatpost, but it's a little bit short (I think by around 30mm). I've looked for a longer replacement in the past, but without success. I think that most of the retro seatposts in that size are of a similar length to mine. Spa Cycles said they were going to get...
