Out again today. The clicky ticky noise is still there. It sounds a bit like spokes “tinging”, but they all feel perfect to me. I’m leaning towards rear hub bearings.

No cracks on the hubs, I’ve had the magnifying glass on them… Running true and smooth. Freehub in good shape with no play or problems. Front Mavic 217, rear FIR M123. I found a couple of signs of cracking on the front 217 rim, see the pics, minimal rim wear. Rear FIR with red/silver nipples is...

I’ve used gripper paste with success on one frame. Steel frame alloy post.

I’ve had a good close look at them as I discovered this was a problem when trying to understand Hopes hub models. I can’t see anything worrying fortunately.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll investigate. The “knob” is almost impossible to rotate, can you advise on removal and strip/clean?
