Hey Retro Guru, to be honest a couple of other projects (Marin FRS, Rocky Mountain Pipeline, my Scott Boulder, a Diamond Back V-Link, Cadex CFM3) have taken over and this one is still waiting to move along - not meaning it won't still happen! I probably just need to calculate the spoke lengths...

Ok, these aren't all bikes, but they are the complete bikes relevant to this site ;-) a couple more but thwy would just clutter the photo even more...

behind me on the shelf is a purple Marzocchi XC500, on my desk is a Tune Skyline freewheel body, a Tune carbon rear axle... 3 x Carbocage alloy bolts... some anodised bolts for Formula brakes. That's it right now. Does the Cyclepassion calender on the wall count?

If you want light there is Conti Supersonics (350 - 360g), Maxxis MaxxLite 310 (310g), Schwalbe Furious Fred (400g???) ... but if you want something reasonable to ride with go Racing Ralph, Kenda Block8, Maxxis Larsen TT or Aspen. That my list of recommendations ;-) enjoy

What a beatiful lineup... all fantastic builds! I do however feel a bit the same as has been metioned before ... where is the 93 - 97 era? I guess for me... Kona, Yeti, Merlin ... well done to all contestants!

Hey Ringo, just found thei sthread as I am building a Cadex too... Your bike looks fantastic, especially with the Manitou forks ;-) liked the tripples, but they really need to be on a different bike - found an STS yet? ;-) Any update photos or more of the build? Would love to see where it is...

@kidkideparis thanks for the info and foto! my frame looks identical also with te ti linkage, just seems a frame size bigger and is labelled as a LTS-1... interesting.

@Chrisbrown Cheers for your input! I agree, the SL's are no go as too XC... I have a black Kore stem, so will put that on there to try... The bike originally had Hope Sport brakes and red Big 'un hubs, but they are on another bike now... Also, would a red Chris King headset look out of...

@stauqmuk good to see that combo on another bike! Both my hubs are currently laced up, so I have to make sure its the right choice, before I go ahead and take both wheels apart... below... but I will keep looking at yours for a while... ;-) I also tried thwe Judy Sl lowers on the LTS upon...

Hi guys, am slowely rebuilding a LTS-1 Boomerang... will collect all the components first before restoration and polishing etc begins... Want it to be as original as possible, as it was raced ... To start off with.... 1) Frame is raw / or polished, so any silver parts will work fine...

Yes it is a 1998. I totally missed the point that these bikes are pre-1998??? Just so I understand (because there are plenty others that post near current bikes in this thread!), for a newbie like myself, how can we tell whether the thread is pre-1998 or 1998-current? Apologies if I missed...

No pipelines on here? Hi guys, so can anyone explain if there is any reasoning why no-one is posting any Pipelines? Would there be any reason before I become the first to post something, thought I'd better check in ;-) !
