Sold SUNN Radical Plus Cofactory 1998

I'm pretty sure the guy who modded this downhill rig back then wasn't pondering much on the state of the collectors market 30 years in the future, he just wanted a stiffer frame ;)

    1992 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

Finally found time to resume the project. The clear coat was literally baked in in some parts. No amount of paint stripper could get through it. Didn't have much choice but to dremel everything clean. Polished the headtube/downtube junction to see how it looks...

    1992 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

Ha, keen eye Matti! I did in fact buy it from a guy that lives in Ottawa. Made the drive a couple of weeks ago from Sherbrooke( Qc). Can't say if the bike was originally sold from Kuntsadt, but I remember he mentionned that this was the shop that maintained it.

    1992 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

Like Zonoskar mentionned, it's not patina, it's just clear coat chipping away. It looks neglected more than anything else.

    1992 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

Stripping process. Much more arduous than I expected. Thought it would peel right off given the actual state of the coating. Not so. Not sure how it goes in other countries, but here the strong and effective (but nasty for mommy nature) paint stripper is not sold anymore. What we have availlable...

    1992 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

@zonoskar; really lovely build with the red straight bladed fork and the Spinergy's! @vtwinvince; appart from the coat desintegrating, the frame itself is in top condition. No cracks or even dings, only a few scuffs here and there. I'm aiming for a brushed or dull aluminium finish, not mirror...
