    I removed the old stickers from my road frame using the hot hair dryer trick. However quite a bit of the glue remains that will not budge. It just sort of slimes back and forth. Does anyone know of a lethal substance that will rid me of this gunge?

    Success - FYI I enlarged the hole in the pin by 1mm using a drill. Would not reccomend that old bit you had in a tin for years, invest in a new one.

    Indeed it is , one of them! The pin protruding from the knuckle is the one with no P/N, which is a pain since the circlip groove has become worn/chipped.     OK Found a spring but now the bolt/pin that goes through the spring is defective! It has a thread at the inner end where it goes into the knuckle and a circlip groove at the outer end.     Does anyone know where I can get a spring to replace the one I lost pls? It is 10 speed and the RD is maybe 1990's, 2005? I gather the Chorus mech bits also fit. Brian Johnson
