    Feedback for kaydee

I bought a lovely frame off Kevin. It was just as described and arrived quickly and well packaged. He has been brilliantly helpful in communications, especially on technical issues. An all round top retrobiker!

Where is that? Not in UK judging by buildings outside. Troyes?

    Castellano Silk-ti 650b gravel bike

Not ridden a Moots, but from what I read about them this has the same feeling - a subtle but definite effect. I cleaned a climb on it yesterday that has so far eluded me this year - it might just be that it's dried out enough, but I do also think this thing maintains traction where hardtails...

    Castellano Silk-ti 650b gravel bike

Thank you. I've also got 20mm of squish in the redshift stem, so it's technically full suspension - or as close as I get. 😁

    Castellano Silk-ti 650b gravel bike

Thanks. I really tried hard not to buy it, but totally caved - and I'm delighted I did! Think it needs a wider bar - for control at the silly speeds this thing is capable of.

    Castellano Silk-ti 650b gravel bike

I'm rubbish at those teaser threads. I'm just not the person to spend 18 years acquiring and then polishing things and nicely photographing the process. Not that I don't admire the work and dedication that goes into these things. Anyway, here is my Castellano, bought earlier this week off...

    Today's Ride

Bloody cold down South today. Bright and dry but COLD. Did I mention cold?!

    Today's Ride

I also share your pain. I earned a living as a bike mechanic for a number of years using essentially the same set of tools. The dizzying array of standards, routings, chargers, apps etc now required to maintain bikes has totally put me off offering to work on every type of bike. I still do a few...

    Today's Ride

On my ride home from work a freezing grey blanket of mist had descended. Definitely got lucky with the weather this morning.

    Today's Ride

Lots of things in the air today - paragliders above the old hill fort, buzzards and herons by the river. Lovely day.

    Today's Ride

As Kurt Vonnegut said: if this isn't nice, what is? Cold and misty, but the sun burnt through.

Sorted Rigid 26" fork (Disc, QR fit, 1&1/8" steerer) Carbon or Alloy

Do you know what length axle to crown you need? I have a nearly new MRP Rock Solid fork that's 445mm - lovely fork, just decided to go with something a bit lower.

How Many Bikes Do You Think You Have Owned Over The Years….?

It's funny, I compiled this a couple of months ago as I was having the same discussion with a colleague. Ones marked with * are the ones gone that I wish I'd kept or that I still own and will keep. Here goes: Current built up bikes in use: Orbea Arama* (brilliant, dependable, practical) Santa...
