    I'm sure this has probably been asked before - my apologies if so. I have a 1998 GT LTS 2000DS which is an everyday commuter. Unfortunately, at the weekend, the lhs chainstay pivot bolt (arrow) went awol during a ride and made it's escape :( With 20/20 hindsight, I would have Loctited them...

    These are mine. The San Andreas is now dead - the frame tore open like a can of sardines just above the bottom bracket with no warning which was a little disconcerting... I transplanted the parts to a new (at the time) 2004 Sin frameset and swapped out the Pace Monstors for Marz Shivers.

    Cheers for the tip. I'm actually a transplant from Yorkshire - been here six years now. The forks were on a MC San Andreas frame (with Goldtec hubs and original Hope closed discs) which "tore open" above the BB. I traded that in for a MC Sin here five years ago, swapping the Monstors for Marz...
