You could be correct, the frame has fittings for rim brakes so I wasn't thinking of hydraulics, but I suppose it makes all options easy...

I have an orange P7 frame from about 2003 which has cable stops/guide on the top of the crosstube. in a block of three there are two stops and one guide. Why not 3 stops?

building up an orange P7 to replace the one I had stolen, and looking for a set of old forks, I will service them, so condition not too important. Thanks!
