    Helicopter tape recommendation

I bought a pack from Paragon to protect a new road bike I bought 15 months ago. It's still in place and if applied properly is almost invisible. You can cut it to fit any odd shapes. http://www.paragontapes.co.uk/

Re: Here's my HeiHei, which has been my regular ride for @ 15yrs now. Currently with an XT/XTRish mix, 8speed with Suntour XC Pro thumbies. Cleaned up and with slicks for a jaunt down to Le Bourg-d'Oisans for a pedal up Alpe d'Huez a little while back.

    Pre 2001 Mirage capacity question

Thanks again. I found an old Shimano Exage 300EX rear mech in my parts drawer, and the pulley wheel centres are @ 10mm further apart, so that will give me a little more leeway hopefully. Also I've found a screw to replace the B tension screw and give it a little more length. This mech is rated...

    Pre 2001 Mirage capacity question

Thanks for that hamster.I probably have longer stays that you, so may get away with a 28 low gear if I use a longer B screw and keep off the extremes of the cassette in either chainring.

    Pre 2001 Mirage capacity question

Hi all, my first post in anger after my intro post. I need to (hopefully) gear down my trusty old Bianchi hack due to increasing age and decreasing fitness. The current set up is Campag Mirage 8speed Ergos and mechs with a Shimano 7speed hub and cassette, works flawlessly. What I want to do is...

    Hei Hei bb thread question

Hi there. I have a Kona Heihei ti frame that I've been riding for @ 14 - 15yrs. It's been a while since I changed the bottom bracket and I've clean forgotten in what direction the left hand bottom bracket thread loosens. I know it's a 50/50 but I'd appreciate someone who knows telling me to save...

    Hello from a newby

Err, no! When I post pics and specs of my other bikes you will realise why! The disc thing is a desire which I am sure we all get now and again, a passing fancy!

    Hello from a newby

Thanks for the warm welcome gents! Truth be told I am as retro as any of you, my last major upgrade was from 7sp to 8sp, and all that meant was taking the spacer off the rear wheel, putting an 8sp block on and adjusting the mechs! That was a good few years ago too.

    Hello from a newby

Hello to everyone on the forums here. Found you via a search for info on how to convert a non disc frame to disc. The frame is a Kona Hei-Hei, which I've owned for 11yrs. I'll ask the question properly and post some pics later.
