Should be fine. If it's HG it will fit 8,9,10 and 11 speed cassettes on it (Shimano).

Wanted Giant NRS 'Long Travel' Rocker Arms (SGF or similar)

How does one tell if rockers are long or short? Is it a model year thing?

Actually that's interesting that DS came with a V brake rear end. Your's has the disc rear. In fact that DS rear end looks identical to my DH, though I bought the frame from a friend and he wasn't too sure how original the rear end was. Welded repair as below Paint stripped for heat treatment...

Love the DS. What fork would that have had originally? I've just finished up a project, just need to route the rear brake line through the stops.

700mm Wide Bars Minimum with 25.4mm Clamp?

Hi there. I'm looking for something pretty flat. The Dorados have 30mm more travel than I need so I want the bars as low/flat as possible. Cheers though.

700mm Wide Bars Minimum with 25.4mm Clamp?

Cheers. Yeah high rise is going to be the downfall. As I said it's not the end of the world. I'll check those other brands.

700mm Wide Bars Minimum with 25.4mm Clamp?

So I'm sorting out my old FSR DH, I have some incoming Dorados as I couldn't find X-Vert Ti very easily. Ironically the day after I purchased the Dorados I did come across some X-Verts. But anyway, included with the Dorados is a direct mount stem, which is cool, but means I'll need to use the...

I have the disc versions on an old bike. 20mm front and 135mm rear. The rears are loud, like as loud as anything modern if not louder. Which was nice at the time, loud meant exotic and expensive. Whereas I much prefer as quiet as possible when I'm riding.

Wanted 1998/9 Manitou X-Vert Ti (20mm, disc only)

I'm after these particular forks. They were made in 98/99 I think, and had 150mm of travel. I'm not too interested in the 2000 onward Carbons as they had a bit much travel for my project. Borrowed the image from on here.

    The greener side of retrobikeness..........

Re: Re: Are hydraulic brakes that problematic? I'm biased as the bulk of my riding has been with them. I had Avid BB7 (I think) for about year before putting on Hayes Mags. Honestly I had a set of M675 SLX that I never bled, changed pads maybe twice and they were bullet proof. I mean I didn't...

    1999 Specialized DH

I picked this up from a friend a little while ago. It needs heat treatment to a weld repair on the seat stay, so I'm trying to peel the stickers off first, at least to try and copy them. I'm a little unsure on the direction I'll take with it, I'd probably prefer mostly modern with a period...
