Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

Sold my taps & facing tools unfortunately. Only have French thread taps left. That's an idea though. Cross-tap Raleigh thread to French. It will certainly satisfy my sick perverted bike-wrenching fetish, but unlikely to produce any meaningful results.🤔

Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

Yeah. As a minimum, I'd expect hands to be chained to the bars, so under no circumstances are you allowed to indicate when turning or changing lanes.

Folding bike. Designed by BMW! Does that mean I'm allowed to be a complete RShole while riding it?

Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

What are the folder options for tall & heavy-ish (188cm 87kg) riders? Raleigh stowaway/twenty has a very stiff folding lock design according to Sheldon, but as far as retromods go, it will be a pain to work with. Raleigh threading, fork/seatpost extension problems. meh. There's one going for a...

Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

Decent tubeset for a folder, but "foldability" seems extremely limited, and even folded it won't be very compact I think? I am intrigued. Local pickup only though - might be hard to persuade the guy to post. Do you think it's mis-listed as 26er when it's a 24"?

Which bike for my first project

Road/tourer? Sounds like you're after the audax geometry. Restoration or retromod (modern parts on vintage frame)? Do you want a complete bike, so you can polish the chrome, grease the seatpost bearings and you're good to go? Or do you want to build up a bare frame, roll up your sleeves and get...

Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

Yeah, but they don't look the same, do they. Seem to be surprisingly rare in Scotland too. Are they 20" or 18" or 16"ers?

Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

What are the chances of finding a cheapo Moulton "space-frame" thingie these days? Are they very rare? There's a few on evilbay, but all in the region of a grand.

For Sale Cove Hummer - Ti frame - £175

I take it you managed to get your cash back for the cracked frame? As far as road bikes go, Ti rides brilliantly and you don't have the risk of chipping the paint. I love my spitfire. My problem is the plastic forks that ti frames come with these days. Ti forks still seem to be a bit of a grey...

For Sale Cove Hummer - Ti frame - £175

In rust we trust. 🤔 I think I'll fail a lot sooner than any of my steel frames, and they are all older than me.

For Sale Cove Hummer - Ti frame - £175

I could say "steel is real" but I won't. But I could if I wanted to.

For Sale Cove Hummer - Ti frame - £175

Sorry to hear that. Ti seems to be very prone to cracking.

    8Freight Cargo bike - restoration / project

Yeah, fit a 2-stroke grass strimmer engine instead, like they did in the old days. Period-correct parts only!

eBay To Block Sale of E-Bikes

I thought there would be something to do with posting large self-combusting batteries too? Nothing stopping an ebay seller to just ship them in an unmarked thin padded bag with Royal Mail so it can explode when the postie kicks it into his van.

Soviets also liked their 24 inchers. "Saliut" (Fireworks)

Oops, looks like somebody spotted this one before me! Here's an old Soviet "Aist" then.
