    Cheap Cannondale

Re: Thanks for the heads up that would be perfect but.............. in order to reduce the cost I need to use as many 'parts bin' components as possible. So the frame needs to have forks with it @ 1 1/8 and be threadless The search continues

    Cheap Cannondale

Re: Thanks Raidan73, I should of probably said aheadset only. Although I'm building and giving this bike away for free I think your frame has too much of a retro feel for my colleague. I know beggars can't be choosers but some people just don't understand the beauty in every bike

    Cheap Cannondale

Hi people, I've promised a bike to a work colleague for free?!? I guess in exchange for some cycling karma :-) I've got pretty much everything in the spare parts bin at home, apart from the frame and forks doh! I had intended using my old Specialized M2, but after trying to fit the bottom...

    Titanium Manitou 1 Forks

Yes they are the original elastomers and I've got a few spares which seem to be in perfect condition too. As far as the old guy goes I have been thinking about tracking him down ever since joining retrobike last year. As you say he could well be a member, this all happened in St.Helens in the...

    Titanium Manitou 1 Forks

Hi All, A little back story before the pictures, The year was 1995 (i think?) probably one of the last endless summers of my youth spent thrashing around every day from dawn til dusk on my beloved brand new ridged Zaskar Le (stolen 3 years ago :-((( from outside my front door). Given the...

    Specialized Shark Fin adapter

I have just been told that I don’t stand a chance of getting one through Specialized because they stopped making them about 6 years ago. I’ve also tried ever dealer / LBS in a 50 mile radius and still no luck, maybe I’ll have to go with V’s or polish off my CDT skills on the milling machine...

    Specialized Shark Fin adapter

Apparently they were produced from 97ish to 99ish for M2’s and early FSR frames. I’ve seen the A2Z adapters but after some Google hunting they seem to get a bit of a bad name? And I’ve heard they don’t work on specialized? I was hoping some of our friends across the pond might have one...
