I just acquired this recently.. has the chain stay ubrake mounts. The serial is similar to that of a cascade lava dome from an old thread.. I have an 88/89 cinder cone in the same size and the geo is identical.

Anyone have any tips or tricks for seating the dust wipers on a manitou 1? I can't figure out how to get 'em into their groove after everything is put back together. If I seat it first before installing the stanchions, I can't get the lower bushing past the upper.. What's the proper way to...

Lol. That's my bike. I believe it's a mid/late year 99 or a leftover 99 sold in 2000. It's not a repaint. I've seen many of these. The crazy part is there's no serial number.

The green Kilauea is a 1993 1/2 Model. There were three models: -Fire Mountain in 'Titanium' -Lava Dome in 'Hot Rod Purple Metallic' -Kilauea in 'Hot Rod Green Metallic' Here's a pic of the K Bike Lava Dome in Purple:

Over the years I've come across some unusual Kona models and base models with unusual colours. Some of the models appear to be rental bikes that were rebranded and as for colours, possible mid-year models, frame only options or region specific colours. In advance, I'm sorry if anything in here...

The blue 98 is mine (sorry, I rarely ever come here).. I can confirm it is a 17". I've sent some Hot and Hei Hei info to Alasdair as well, so you can update those threads as well.. Enjoy !

i'm guessing it's an 89 or 90 explosif because of the seat clamp, but the colour is really messing with me. has anybody ever seen this before ? thanks in advance.
