Re: This frame is awesome. French company Vitus start to make the aluminium road frames in the 1980s. Maybe this version “Vitus 979” introduced in 1984s. Though it’s from French, you can be using your second (French) combination. I think it will be good.

Hi, Firstly the picture quality is not clear. You should take the picture again then upload again. But one thing I tell you this is not an ordinary bike.

If you are usually using 170/ 175mm then you should try 5mm higher from 165 which will be suitable for your leg and can be got more power. When you change the crank from 170 to 165 it can be hurt for your legs and body. So, think first before the change.

Re: Hi there, Once I also face kind of problem. It was left shifter but luckily, I found the same model and fix it. I think you take the right decision, xt pod should be fit and use it until you get the xtr 900 right shifter.

Re: Hi there, It’s an old bike but Rayleigh Dynatech is a good brand. Maybe you need to changes and repair some part like chainset, tyres, need to adjusted clunkset. Remember that frame and wheels are the main part of a bike. So, you should check the frame and the wheels properly if these are...
