    Shipping from Sweden

Thanks @Woz, that's a very comprehensive walk-through how to do it best! I would not have thought to minimize a bike box to fit into the Postnord max measurements. Sounds like it will work well and be reasonably smooth and cost-cutting.

    Shipping from Sweden

Re: Its 44 cm from what i remember so somewhere between 16" and 17". Will double check that this evening. Hoping for more input from someone with experience shipping from Sweden... who to use, how much it might cost, how much to disassemble =)

    Shipping from Sweden

Hi, I have a Brodie Sovereign that sadly is not my size so it's time to let it go. I was wondering, if somebody is interested in the UK, what is the best/cheapest way to ship it you think? I would consider taking it apart a bit for shipping if it proves worth while. Anyone with experience around?

Another identify my bike thread.. this time a GT

Re: Re: When you say rack eyelets, do you mean the ones up behind the seat or the ones down by the dropouts? Because the yellow one far down on the page i linked has the eyelets down by the dropouts and it is (looks to be) a Psyclone... Edit: I'm just curious and wanting to learn, not trying...

It is a good looking bike, no doubt about that. It sounds a bit off that a top of the line steel frame would be made from 4130 i think but i guess possible. The yellow frame here looks quite similar with the fixed derailleur hanger and eyelets http://forums.mtbr.com/vintage-retro-cl ...

Another identify my bike thread.. this time a GT

The seller described it as a GT Zaskar LE. I have contacted him since yesterday and he now explained that back in the early 90s he was a sponsored racer for GT in Denmark. The sponsorship then was supposed to supply the current top of the line bike which was a GT Zaskar LE he says. So according...

Yay, that was a fast answer. Thanks =) Feeling a bit disappointed about it not being as described but i guess you can't be lucky all the time. Will probably give it a good scrub and service and sell it off again.

Ok, so I bought this remotely i.e. little chance to have a look beforehand and now I'm wondering what did i buy? The guy selling it said its a GT Zaskar LE but seeing as its Cromo 4130 that can't be? The Zaskars have always been aluminum right? Anyway, any ideas what it is and from when? Edit...

Help identify Brodie model and year

Checked the cranks, wheels, brakes and date codes are from 1990. The shifters are from 1989. I think everything is original and as it came from factory. Is there a point asking Paul B. to check for sure on the model? I don't want to bother him unnecessarily.

Re: Nice, does your climbMax have the 25.4mm or the 22.2mm quill stem? I'm still a little hesitant here what model my frame is :).

Tubes connecting to the head-tube are not ovalized, both perfectly round when i measure with my calipers. So most likely a Sovereign as 'sovereign' points out... although i think he might be biased? =)

OK, so i measured the diameter of the horrible quill stem that is on at the moment and its 25,4mm/1". So that makes it not a climbMax and either a Sovereign or Catalyst from what you are telling me? I found this post which if accurate points to an early 90s Catalyst...

Ok, managed to find the serial number. As you said, on the bottom bracket under the cable guide and a lot of gunk it says B209. Any opinions with this new found information what model/year it might be?
