Re: Thanks for answering, but I was thinking more of the straddle wire spring design, not so much the cnc - haven't seen any other cantis with this design, and just wondered why. PS: Should not have made this post, just managed to lose one of the straddle wire bolts/studs...

Hi Stupidly managed to lose one bolt/stud for the straddle wire on my Control Tech cantis. Interested in buying just the bolt, or an incomplete set for parts. Colour/condition does not matter as long as the stud is there. Thanks

Hi I got my hands on a nice set of Control Tech Cantilevers that seems to work very well. But I was just wondering in general what was the advantages / disadvantages of this system? From what I've read people seems pleased with the brakes - why did not this system catch on in the cantilever...

Re: Yes, you are right, I'm not going to take any chances with it. I imagine its not that comfortable to have a fork collapse at speed.. I'll stick with the heavy tange struts for now, at least its safe. Hopefully a new one will pop up - in the right colour :) Thanks for your answers

Re: I can ask him - but from a quick search it seems that the temperature range is normally from 160 to 215 c. Yes, it is the one you helped me with. Finally had the funds to get it painted, and thought i had found a good place to do it - so annoyed that he did not listen when i told him not...

Hi Is it possible to use a 8/9 speed hub/freewheel with 7-speed XT M735 derallieur? If so, what is the best option - 7-speed cassette with spacer or 8-speed casette without using the one cog? I have M095 STI shifters. Thanks
