Fillet brazed columbus frame - new build - paint touching

I know that this is ridiculously late, and you may not even have the frame anymore, but FYI it is an Italian frame under the marque MASS.

Help needed to ID lo pro time trial frame

I know it's a little late, but it's an Olmo frame and a Moser fork

    Vitus 992 project

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm curious: Why did you put all of that money and effort into a throw-away junk frameset?

Now Sold!!! Colnago C40 original Mapei

Yeah I know - this is a late reply. But, just FYI - that isn't the same "Paris-Roubaix" colour scheme as the 1-2-3 bikes from 1996. Museeuw et al rode the original black and yellow Mapei colour scheme - the same scheme as Rominger's 3 Vuelta victories on a BiTitan. The later blue "waves and...

    Frame tubing question

Tange made a spiral tubing like that. I know Kona used it on their flagship MTB in the early nineties. I have a weak spot for unusual tubing. I love my Colnago Conic SLX, as it was the first bike to have an expanding downtube. Love my lugged Gilco-tubed Cinelli MTB too. Two bikes I'll have...

    Olmo New Sintex

Re: Sorry for the late post. Nice frame, but it's a repop right? All of the original late-80s Sintexs have extruded Columbus SP tubing that looks like Gilco. So is this a new frame, like 2010 or something?

Olmo - fluted tubing, project now complete

Oh geez, my mistake. When I wrote that it's 'something cheaper than an Oria - maybe a Hrinkow', I meant to write Olmo. It's something cheaper than an Olmo - maybe a Hrinkow. I'm sorry, I didn't mean Oria (though it is made from Oria tubing), I meant that it's a Hrinkow - not an ORIA.

1980s market segmentation: ATB vs. MTB

That makes no sense, since mountain biking came to France pretty late. But of course the French have their own term (VTT), the same way the English would have their own term (ATB), the same way Americans would have their own term (MTB).

1980s market segmentation: ATB vs. MTB

Re: Re: Your 'proof' is that some people are using the UK terminology, and some people are using the US terminology. You must never leave your house, if you've never met a Brit who tries to sound hip by using American English. The eight years I lived there, almost all Brits I met used some...

Olmo - fluted tubing, project now complete

Re: If you're going to pretend that it's an Olmo, at least lose the Colnago G4 tubing decal and get a proper Columbus MS (Gilco) decal. Although, Olmo never used Gilco; they used custom-shaped Columbus SP.

Olmo - fluted tubing, project now complete

Re: It is a beautiful frame, but it is definitely not Gilco (it's Oria) and it's absolutely not an Olmo. The quality of the lugwork and the brake bridge especially make it something cheaper than an Oria - maybe a Hrinkow or some other eastern European frame. The 'original' photo you saw of it...

1980s market segmentation: ATB vs. MTB

Re: OMG!!! MTB is what mountain bikes are called in American English, and ATB is what mountain bikes are called in UK English. They are, and always have been, the exact same bikes!!!!! LMFAO!!!
