Well I've bought most of the new parts I need. I must admit the apathy of bike shop staff in these parts was a little disappointing - I think they would much rather I'd just spent my hard-earned on a new bike :(

Hello mate Sorry for taking an age to get back. The hole is not really a regular shape but approx 25mm by 22-23mm. I guess the shape is so the bung does not come out easily. If you are prepared to part with yours I'm happy to take it. :)

Hello bud I am not sure - I'll take some measuurements tomorrow - have a day off so planning to get started on her. I would guess all sizes had the same cap and just the actual quill part was diffeent but I'm willing to be proved wrong :)
