    Manitou fs elastomer setup?

Anyone rebuilt the elastomers on the back of a Manitou FS? They're rotted out so no guide as to what was in there. Doesn't seem to be a rebound 1/2 elastomer?

Wanted 165mm 1 1/4" Manitou 2 crown, buy or swap

Keep looking on the bay but still no luck in finding an inch and a quarter Manitou 2 crown and steerer the right length; I have a 205mm one to swap, or 1 1/8th, or an inch steerer, or can buy. Roughly 165mm needed to fit an early Manitou FS. Thanks in hope!

    1993 GT RTS 1

Building just the same to a similar spec. Agree on the cable routing; getting rid of "faults" isn't my bag either.

Could this be the earliest Team Marin ever??

The downtube stickers look too far up maybe, look like the 90 graphics? Great bike though.

    1991 Carrera Quattro Pro

Yes, you're right. I think that's why there's two distinct frame types. Saracen had an estay frameset out at the same time so makes sense.

    1991 Carrera Quattro Pro

I picked one of these up from local car boot and it got the usual strip treatment with all the kit going on my cirrus. My cousin designs for Halfords and has two immaculate quattros as there were two generations with different lugs etc. They were Dawes frames and had options of the black or...

BoTM markjohnson76's 1989 Roberts Phantom is the February 2024 'UK Special' Bike of The Month

Congrats Mark, lovely. This has been really useful as it now confirms what my dad's Roberts is. It was stickered up as an RFD racing but we knew it was a Roberts when we bought it from the Malvern Hills Classic in 89. I plan on replicating your graphics for sure.

I presume they were painted in the same booth as kleins as they have the same flag sticker?

    1989 Roberts Phantom

That's cleared up what my dad's Roberts is from when we bought it from Malvern's classic in 91 with RFD graphics. Lovely.
