Re: Those Time forks are essentially the same as the Look HSC forks with alloy fork crown. If you want to go full carbon mono, then the Look HSC2 would be the better fork in my opinion. The Easton EC90 was perhaps the only 1" fork fully Carbon including dropouts, although I think some later...

    TVM Kirk Precision Rebuild

Re: 1" full carbon forks are very hard to find. I only know of the Easton EC90s, Old Look and Colnago Star?. Columbus still make the Minimal and Ritchey do the Comp Carbon forks too. Both have alloy steerer and dropouts.

Re: Yes, 1" steerer. The forks are Easton EC90. They're no longer made, but come up every now and then on auction sites.

RBotM - October - Autumn - Nominations now open-

Re: No build thread as such, but there's a bit more info at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=356796 on it. The frame appears to be one of the ones developed for TVM as it was originally painted in the red with darker red band through the middle and has many of their features, such as shorter wheelbase, no...

    1988 TVM Kirk

Re: It's only flammable if you grind it into dust luckily! Mine is probably an earlier TVM frame. It was painted the same colours as the one Phil Andserson used in Kellogs Tour. Video here is basically the same frame with shorter wheelbase, scooped out seat tube to accomodate the shorter...

    Puzzled about Peugeot.

    Re: Without chrome on chainstay, the Y1 serial and 1050 i'd say it's a 1991 Altus 531

    1988 TVM Kirk

Re: Did 50 miles on it on Sunday around Elham Valley, plenty of rough and fast descents. Their main issue was never snapping, but the glue fails on the sections that close the frame to make the downtube and seatube hollow and stiff. I've had one where I was riding it, the glue on the panel...

    1987> Time Pedal Servicing

I just remembered another method without tools. You'll need some thick grease and a bolt, rod or even wood dowel who's OD is the same as the ID of the needle bearing/axle end OD. Fill the pedal with grease and push it into needle bearing with bolt, whack bolt with hammer, pull bolt out and...

    1987> Time Pedal Servicing

You need a blind bearing puller, sometimes also called a pilot or needle bearing puller. I would just find a bike shop that has a set of blind bearing pullers as a set usually pulls bearings from 8-32mm I.D

    TVM Kirk Precision Rebuild

Re: Seatpost is a 27.2mm 3T Stylus 25 Pro from 2014. No longer made, but I like the fact they look a bit quirky at the top, much like the frame lol! Seatube angle is 74 on these, where'as i'm more used to riding 73, so the 25mm setback kind of corrects this without the saddle pushed all the way...

    TVM Kirk Precision Rebuild

Thought some might be interested in a little 21st Century upgrade to this 20th Century piece of retro I rebuilt this week. I decided to leave it unpainted after it was vapour-blasted and sealed. This is supposedly one of the few TVM frames that were tweaked until TVM were happy with the frames...

    Kirk Precision Road Frame

Certainly would be very interested, but i'm not keeping it as original as will be building it up with modern equipment. I Think they came with Suntour on the lower spec models & Campag Victory/Athena on the top model, but can't remember that well! What price are we talking about anyway? PM me...

    Kirk Precision Road Frame

Any condition considered. Ideally with all frame inserts and hangers etc. Top money waiting for the right frame.
