Yeti ARC Titanium Frame 19" (NOS) - SOLD

Re: Yeti ARC Titanium Mountain Bike Frame 19" (NOS) Sorry I overlooked that. Is there a way I can move this to the correct location? Or does it mean deleting it then re-posting? Thanks!

Yeti ARC Titanium Frame 19" (NOS) - SOLD

This is a new Yeti ARC Titanium frame. Very rare. This could quite possibly be the only un-built New Old Stock (NOS) frame of its kind in the world. I've had this stored in a box in my closet for 14 years. I bought it from a bike shop in Brooklyn, NYC while on a trip to the USA from New...

This weekends find: 1991 Scott Unishock for $20

Re: They are still in line waiting to be tended to. Sorry I don't want to sell them. Actually since buying these I bought another pair off ebay about 6 months ago that are in awesome condition and I got them for $20 USD inc shipping! So they do come up occasionally. I hope you find some for...

    1992 GT Avalanche

Really cool. I reckon these era GT's are one of the most innovative fully steel rigid bikes, before bikes started getting specced with suspension forks. The adjustable offset fork, "flip-flop stem", U-Brake, groove tube top tube, all really unique design features. Many other high production...

This weekends find: 1991 Scott Unishock for $20

Okay I know what some of you may be thinking, at $20 I paid $15 too much, especially given the condition of this fork. But, the internals are in really good working order (apart from the top & bottom out elastomers which can easily be dealt with). The bushings in this fork, for those not...

Re: Yes will do. There can't have been too many of those bikes around Chch at that time (or before or after for that matter).

1989 Shogun Prairie Breaker Team Issue Frame/Fork

I randomly acquired this today when a guy at work said he had it in his garage and didn't want it. I know it's in poor condition but given the frame has some unique quirks I might build it up to be my next seasons Enduro race bike. :-) Here is what I know about it: -1989 Shogun Prairie Breaker...

    1991 Cannondale SM700

I was thinking maybe doing it like the old Salsa stems and just welding the gap on a non-ovalised tube. The gap between the 22.2mm tube and 25.4mm tube will only be 0.4mm on each side for a small part of the radius. But I'm not sure, will see what it looks like, an ovalised tube at the quill end...

    1991 Cannondale SM700

The stem will be made from some 4130 tube. Normal diameter and wall thickness for a 1" stem would be 22.2mm x .065" (1.6mm) wall for the quill tube but as the stem needs to be extended a bit I'm going to go to .083" (2.1mm) wall to keep it stiff. The extension tube will be 25.4mm x 1.2mm wall...

    1991 Cannondale SM700

I just acquired this from my brother who got it from a collector a few years back. It's a 1991 Cannondale SM700 18". I always wanted a Cannondale of this era but was only 12 years old at the time and Cannondale's were a bit out of my price range. It's really a bit small for me but with a 140mm...

    Yeti FRO 1988 20" - Sold

Re: Size Hi "IHateRain" Yes thanks I just double checked now and it seems the Yeti sizing from this era is from centre of BB to top of top tube and this is 20" exactly on this bike. One thing that makes the Yeti's seem much bigger though (and therefore longer in the headtube) is the 12" high...

    Yeti FRO 1988 20" - Sold

Hi my name is Craig from New Zealand. I've been following RetroBike for many years but only just joined. Two years ago I bought a 1988 Yeti FRO 20". I've ridden it about 10 times and it's awesome but I need to let it go to another home to use the money for other things. It's been through a basic...
