Gary Fisher Sugar 2 - rear derailleur cable guide glue?

Re: For anyone is interested, I went with Gorilla glue, after sanding both surface, then firmly strapped it down with multiple wraps of non-stretchy tape, after. Seems to be holding up fine (remembering the cable pulls against its own casing, rather than pulls the guide against the frame).

Gary Fisher Sugar 2 - rear derailleur cable guide glue?

Hi, Pulled the Sugar 2 out for a pre-season clean and service, and the rear gear cable guide fell off. I believe the rear triangle is carbon, and these are glued on (i wouldnt dare use a jubilee clip or similar on the tubes). Can anyone tell me what glue I can use to replace the cable guide?

    GT LTS-3 '96

aah... you've just made me shed a tear of reminiscence when you linked to that old GT Catalogue - I can remember drooling over the STS for hours! I always thought it was a 96 from the MTBR.com "Everything LTS" thread, where some US guys dated it. I do know that on Bikepedia the 97...

    GT LTS-3 '96

Bought this frame from here about 5 years ago... been sat in mum's shed ever since as I moved abroad. Finally pulled all the parts from my old steel Avalanche and ported them over. Not a pristine build, a bit budget and and mid range components (note taped up saddle :). Crappy phone pics...

    The ultimate Q car?

My old Civic Aeodeck VTi estate was quite fun. A short ratio Torsen LSD gearbox from the ITR, well set up suspension (springs and dampers, upgraded rear ARB), and properly sorted engine breathing gave me a car that would rolling start pull neck and neck with a std Scooby (obviously not off...

    USERNAMES!!!

boma is shortened written version of one of my oldest nicknames "bomber", derived from the ability to kick a football rather hard in a 1950s stylee - shot's at goal would get cries of "it's Bomber Bufton!" (surname). ..23 because... well if you don't know how important 23 is... used for...

    steel GT Avalanche, '93?

thanks for the help with this :) to add: mine does indeed have the groove tube, but it only houses one cable run, the other two run go under the down tube. i may also be wrong on what i remember to be the original colour, as my memory isn't famed for it's sharpness, and it's a few...

    steel GT Avalanche, '93?

It's definitely steel, and definitely has no u brake mount, unless one's been removed or remounted?? Had a look round the bottom bracket and can't see any frame number at all. There's what looks like the start of vague impression that could be a serial or postcode, but that runs across the...

    steel GT Avalanche, '93?

wouldn't have a clue, is the year usually part of it, or is there a reference table somewhere? under a thick coating of hammerite i'm not sure if it'll even be readable tbh, not to mention the previous layers of paint already in there  will check tomorrow. had first serious ride...

    steel GT Avalanche, '93?

really? been trying to work out exactly how old it is. hmmm I was going on when i thought i'd bought it, but thinking again that may be quite wrong... I actually bought it when i was 20/21, now i think about it, not earlier, which would put buying it at around 1994, so I think you are...

    steel GT Avalanche, '93?

Finally got round to putting together the old steel Avalanche frame that's been hanging up in the shed for umpteen years. When i originally bought it many years back, it was a dark purple metallic (maybe with sligth splatter effect?), and kitted out with a mixture of Suntour Pro and XC SE, so...
