things became ugly the moment shifters had little indicators to tell you what gear you were in...the 730 was the pinnacle of prettyness for XT only to be outdone by the m900 XTR...if we don't count Campy stuff.

haha...for the last 24 or so years, i've only removed the axles to service the bearings and then soaked the rest of the pedal in my degrease tank, then hit them with compressed air and squirted more grease inside like they came from the factory (side note, where can i get that cool bright green...

Re: whoa, that's the most interesting thread i've read on fb in a long time...starts slow with people just ranting and arguing but gets interesting when some of the builders and mechanics who were actually there weigh in.

well...they sold. for $299US to someone in Colorado...guess they read the WSJ too. i'm almost sad to see them go. hopefully whoever bought them will mount them on something cool. merlin, do you have a link to the WSJ article? now i'm feeling a bit nostalgic, i'm remembering back to my first...

i know, i'm just returning some of the good natured banter. it is april fool's day after all. i know my starting price is high, believe me, i get a little shock when i look at my own ebay auction. however, i've had them for quite some time so i'm not in a big hurry to sell them so why not...

i guess i over-valued them...no worries. if they're so worthless i can just run them on my commuter bike.
