I'm pretty sure that the crank you have took a 121mm bottom bracket to get a standard chainline, unlike the Deore and XT from the same period.

Bought this a few weeks ago and stripped it down ready for a fresh start. Forks that came with it (80mm bomber z4's) were in good working condition but had big paint chips and corrosion so got a cheap set of 2002 MXC's in 100mm flavour for the minute. Gonna strip and repaint the Z4 lowers and...

I'd personally go for the silver option but red would look fine and certainly original. Black always looks good on a bright coloured frame too. Plenty of choice mate!

Minty Sauce - Maybe worth around 20-25 unpainted and around 50-60 painted. Depends where you sell though, maybe get more on ebay and depends on the paintjob! Although quite common, I like the ride feel of modern GT ally frames and they're good all-rounders. Recent frames (last few years)...

Got a set of Pro 2 disc on mavic 717 (rim and disc brake type) both in silver. They are in excellent condition and barely used. You'd need a 20mm adaptor for the front but can be had cheap on Ebay. I live locally to you (North Tyneside) so cash is fine but I'd want £130 for them :!:
