Looks like a 23 or 24 inch frame as they didn’t make half sizes. Always liked the look of the 980 front mech, which I still have on my Elan. Although I did change the rear mech for Super Record bitd.

What’s going on where the top tube meets the head lug? Is there a crack in the lug and tube?

I have a 83 Holdsworth Elan that I purchased new in early 83. It has the short seatstay caps. The Shop ordered it for me, as the 82 model they had in stock had a small defect.

I remember admiring a JPS Capri in a Ford dealers back in the day. Never did get to own one, although I did own a later Injection Capri.

I though it was abstract art.

I have two Falcon bikes about the same age and both have a five digit serial numbers on the bottom bracket. As midlife says Falcon where still making frames over here and often using Tange forks during this period. Your fame number is slightly different in having M9M then five digits. Not sure...

Later models of the Majorca and the elswick stag seem very similar. The later Majorca models were badged as Tange champion no 5 I believe. So yes your bike might be one of those. Other members of this forum have owned some of these bikes See link. Perhaps adding to their threads might get a...
