    1980s Shimano 105 cranks

    The Maillards are French threads - 14 x 1.25mm. Standard threads are 9/16" (14.23 x 20 TPI (1.27mm) ((apparently)). The pedals will loosely fit in a normal crank, but normal pedals bind up within 1-2 threads going into these cranks. Once I re-thread them I can't go back to the original pedals...
