00-04 Rockshox Boxxer Firm (Red) Springs

Did you ever get your red springs? If you did could you post some photos and the specs on them? I'm thinking about giving up on the search for mine and just having them fabricated. I know the Length will be 400mm and the OD will be 24mm, but need the number of active coils, total number of...

Re: Show us yer FSR's - Removing Manitou X-Vert Carbon thru axle So after a couple of weeks of tentative attempts I finally got the thru axle out of the X-Vert Carbons. It's not really intuitive. The last time I had worked on one was around 2003 and I completely brain dumped on working on...

    2002 Intense M1

Re: So I spent the morning spamming bike shops and retailers about the springs for the M1 and the FSR-DH. So far about 1/4 of the emails I've sent have been answered, so props out to: JensonUSA - Couldn't help but replied to say so. The Fix Bikeshop - The same, but they did reply Chain...

2000-2004 Boxxer red (firm) springs needed

Looking for a pair of red springs for a 2001 Boxxer. Been digging for them for a bit without luck. If anyone knows of where there might be some the information would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

    Ugly San Andreas

Re: The video it's from is called "Plush". I have it somewhere, the segment ends with Shaums coming down sideways and snapping the swingarm of the silver San Andreas (I think... it's been so long, it might be a green one he breaks).

    2002 Intense M1

Thanks. Gotta love Intense. Even though the bike is 12 years old, and I'm not the original owner, they have been very responsive about my questions. Going out to Vegas in a couple of weeks for a reunion type thing. Maybe I'll run over to Temecula and stop by the shop.

    Ugly San Andreas

Always loved the San Andreas. Was between that and the FSR for my first FS bike. Got a video somewhere of Shaums March destroying one doing some evil jump.

Replace?? No don't replace it. My primary trail bike is a 97 GC that still has the original 3 inch travel Judy fork on it.

    2002 Intense M1

I recently had a 2000 FSR Team Downhill stolen. While working to get a replacement (which was successful see here - FSR DH Post on Retrobike ), I stumbled across a sale on Craigslist for a 2002 M1. The original owner received this bike as a replacement for one broken in a race. He was injured...

Re: The guy I bought it from in Boston only raced it for a couple of years, then put it in storage. Plus he's French, and you know the French never wreck their bikes. :) The X-Vert will probably stay in the condition. So far, no luck in finding a stiffer spring set. So I'll probably put...

Am I mad? Cutting down on bikes....

Should have done what I did. Got my other half just as addicted as I am. Course that means we have double the number of bikes. But she never complains when another one follows me home.

    Show us yer FSR's

Re: $1000 would be hard for me to pass up for a never ridden FSR-DH frame set. I was stunned I found this one. They didn't make that many. I paid 1700 USD for this one, and was thrilled. Here come the photos now as well... Yeah I felt the need to dress period correct for them.

    Show us yer FSR's

There's a Stumpjumper FSR-XC hidden behind the Ground Control as well. I'll get some closeups tomorrow. Bed time now. The story with the stolen bike is pretty straight forward. I was working overseas for a while. We had my bikes stored in the basement, someone during the past few months...
