    Going back to Campy brakes!

Wow, here in America I've been referring to it as "Campy" for nearly thirty years--who knew!?

    O.T. - Merckx MXL? Advice.

I would love to post pictures of it--and the rest of my bikes--but I can't figure out how to post them--it says my pictures are too big.

    O.T. - Merckx MXL? Advice.

I have a MX Leader, and it's a great bike. The downtube is ovalized by the headtube and "flattened" by the bottom bracket. Also, the MX L has huge chain stays, with no bridge between them. The head tube flattens, or narrows out, by the head tube. Mine has the Merckx logo where the seat stays...

    Downtube Shifters--

True, downtube shifters require a different shifting strategy, but Eddy Merckx seemed to do all right using them--

    Downtube Shifters--

How many of you folks use downtube shifters? I still love them, and think they look better. If you use them, are they indexed or friction. Three of my seven bikes have them, two friction and one indexed.

    spd Vs toeclips

What kind of riding to you do? I use toe clips on my commuters--that way you're not confined to the type of shoe you wear. If you buy spd's think about how big your feet are. Some pedals are so small that you can develop hot spots on your feet. Good luck!
