    2004 orange p7 specs

Thanks, that's a great help. If you have got the brochure would be good to have a look. Probably won't be doing it completely to original spec but would be nice to get some original kit on it :)

Thanks for your help guys. Would be fun to have! Just got to persuade myself to part with the money! Hoping I can get a good deal seeing as it has been around for a while.

    2004 orange p7 specs

Hey everyone, I've got a p7 frame knocking around that I'd like to build up. Think it's a 2004 model. Pretty good condition except for the down tube which is a bit scratched up. Anyways, can anyone tell me the original spec, or point me in the direction of a brochure/catalogue? The brochure...

Kona fire mountain - what year and headset type?

Not particularly after a singlespeed, just something for the commute which is pretty much flat and either on road or along a canal path depending on which way I go. Always loved the old steel konas! This one's a bit small but shouldn't make much difference for what I'll be using it for. Don't...

Kona fire mountain - what year and headset type?

Also are there any downsides to threaded systems apart from comparability for upgrades? Would be keeping the fork.

Kona fire mountain - what year and headset type?

Thanks, that's what I thought. How much would you pay for it? (I'm thinking of buying, not selling)

Kona fire mountain - what year and headset type?

Can anyone tell me what year this is from (not exactly original setup!) And is that a threaded steerer with an adaptor or an aheadset? Thanks in advance!

Kona Unit 26 inch wheels *** REDUCED ***

Ooh, this could be perfect... Any info on year, history, etc? And have you had it built up? If so how tall are you and how did it fit?

    Kona Explosif (1997? 19" Reynolds 853)

Yep, consensus seems to be 1999 model - not sure where I got '97 from! Got it listed on ebay and on here and hoping to get about £300-£350 so good to hear I'm not in completely the wrong ball park! Anyone interested let me know! Thanks guys

Kona Explosif 1997 (with Reynolds 853 frame)

Oh, really? Did have a look into it when I first got it and had it in my head it was a 97 but you're probably right!

Kona Explosif 1997 (with Reynolds 853 frame)

Think it might be time to sell my Explosif! I'm going abroad for a while and can't take it so it's either finding a new owner or going into storage. Great bike with a classic reynolds 853 frame. Think it's the 1997 model - the last year they made these frames. Was told it's a 19" frame when I...

    Kona Explosif (1997? 19" Reynolds 853)

Hey guys, been a while since I've been on here but thinking of getting rid of my Explosif. It's a 97 model (I think) with XT mechs and shifters, XT brakes on Avid sd5 levers, bomber forks (also have the judy xc's that came with it when I bought it - not sure if they're original?) Chain stay's a...

    Jimmy the Exploder (1999 Explosif)

Yeah I'm looking forward to riding it. Always wanted a Kona and always wanted an 853 frame... now I have both :D Al, your bike is a real beauty! Love the ovalised tubes and that colour is incredible. The RC36s suit it to a tee as well but tbh I'm not sure about them for mine. Hamster thanks...

Avid SD5 levers with XT parallel push brakes?

Re: Great, thanks, guessed by the lack of people shouting "no, don't do it" that it would be fine!

    Jimmy the Exploder (1999 Explosif)

I saw yours yesterday actually - looks great! Thanks for the advice on the forks. Z2s would have been ideal for keeping it period but I couldn't find any with a long enough steerer. Just bought the mx comps - they can be reduced to 80mm with a spacer and it sounds like that would be a good idea...

    Jimmy the Exploder (1999 Explosif)

Re: Re: ^ sounds about right! Should have some zocchi mx comp airs in the post to me soon to play with :D I used to go up to the bike show at the NEC and try and persuade people to sell me some Z4s for about £30. No-one ever did

Avid SD5 levers with XT parallel push brakes?

Hey everyone, I'm about to start chopping and changing bits around on my bike and wondering if anyone knows any reason not to use SD5 levers with XT parallel push brakes? It will only be an interim solution, I'm just not too keen on the dual control levers currently fitted. Can't imagine it will...
