    Dynamo light and charger insight

If they have some electronics like GPS or app release functionality, there will already be a rectifier somewhere. Not having see them I can only speculate

https://hokkaidowilds.org/diy-bicycle-dynamo-usb-charger-for-smartphones-and-battery-packs looks like a bridge rectifier and voltage regulator.

They do not. The standard output is 6V 3W from the hub connectors P24. All the electronic are built into the lights. You can verify this by wiring any simple bulb straight to the outputs. It flickers at slow speeds and appears constant as you go faster, the frequency being wheel rpm/poles pairs...

Prices seemed to go way up after 'tubeless compatible' started to appear on everything. I guess the tolerances are tighter or something FWIW - I really rate that tyre, I've had 1 puncture, tread is really good and my cycle to work involves about half a mile of downhill farm track.

I think tyres are mad prices at the moment so I go with whatever is on offer or the odd thing that come up in a package on ebay. I'm agnostic about what i use as long as it is slick and not too rigid. The front is a Vittoria Corsa Graphene - 30c (measures 28 ) I don't know what iteration. The...

This Guy has done just that. I think I can make a connector out of thin brass sheet backed with electrical tape. That won't be more than 1mm thick methinks. Just squeeze it in, there's probably enough space for that

It got dark all of a sudden and I've moved to the far north so i needed lights. This dynamo setup is new to me but I've run dynamos around the town for a long time now. I think the light makes more difference than the hub tbh. The biggest difference in the hubs as far as I can tell is the power...

Wanted Any old fork - want the steerer 1"

that's very cool. Mine is an old 531 fork (the bike is one of these but all blue and no chrome and I do use it for CX) If you don't mind, can I ask...? did you drill multiple holes for flowing in the brass? Could you use silver? Did you chamfer/bevel the tubes under that brass ring? Where did...

Wanted Any old fork - want the steerer 1"

I don't mind... I had a notion to turn a threaded fork to threadless via this method and the sourcing a bit of bit of 7/8" tube
