It's official Wii Fit is good for you....

Had one for little over a week and have decided that it is a new form of torture. However it such a cunning torture that I find myself returning each day for a dose. These should be installed in prisons so that the wardens can put their feet up.

How to force new steerer into crown??

Sorry Jonny, I agree that a hydraulic is best, just depends on what you have access to. Send the crown to Jonny

How to force new steerer into crown??

Could also go on for hours, a fly press does work. A hydraulic press is better IF it is set up right but could do way more damage. We have used fly presses to swage very high tolerance parts together for tank transmissions. Not a punching and quite a long push.

How to force new steerer into crown??

You could always try a local engineering firm and see if they have a fly press, they have a very handy hole through the middle, long stroke and forks fit pretty well.

    Halfords

Ok time to 'fes up. I did work in Halfords. We carried a good range of bikes then too but rarely sold many as the people buying decent bikes were going to the LBS. Just because you have the product on display it doesn't always mean you know what you are selling. It is good marketing to some...

Ok point taken.. but they do also sell shite bikes on a grand scale. Which branch of Halfords do you work at incedently

    Halfords

I beg to differ... they can't possibly make profit on their bikes. Must be the fluffy dice that did it.

    Winter clothing

Gotta say I am a skinny bugger with crap circulation... the fleece layer might be too warm. On really cold days I do put heated insoles in the shoes and have toasty feet all the way round.

    Satin titanium finish?

Vapour blasting... it's the way to go. We have plastic parts finished like this to dull them but keep their size. Generaly less agressive than shot blasting too.

    Winter clothing

I usually go for a lightweight L/S fleece t-shirt as a mid-layer and a Buffalo windshirt on top. You could always swap the the windproof for a Buffalo special six or an Arktis shell as they are both pretty warm with good wicking properties.

What else to you covet, when you search Ebay?

Me too, got maps going back over 100 years in the Portsmouth area now. Some are pretty handy for scouting new routes as some of the old roads are Byways now.
