    Re: phosphoric acid is a better choice imo than citric acid, also don't be scared of electrolysis if you do it right, and it's hard to mess up then you can get outstanding results i have used it any number of times restoring old Optimus 111 stove cases, it will remove all rust also any paint...

    Re: i'd steer clear of the halfords universal clear lacquer if i were you i did a Nos late 90's early 00's Thorn xTc classic bare metal frame with it, easy to use, awesome and i mean AWESOME finish like glass after wet sand and polish but it isn't very tough :cry: it tends to chip easy also...

    Re: the sturmey mounts have 3 (IRC) positions that they can be adjusted to so you can set them up at different angles to the bars, that said i'm using them on an old Marin with Nitto Albatross bars (for when my back is bad), also using an m760 rapid rise mech so the gears are more convienient...
