RBotM February 2019 - Theme = Winter Frame Project Month

Re: Hi Spitball, I must admit when I bought the frame / forks (both carry same frame number - so must be original) I thought the height difference was a bit a odd - however, I solved it by adding a spacer, as I didn't want cut them down and have to re-thread - see page 2.

RBotM February 2019 - Theme = Winter Frame Project Month

Re: OK - here's a couple of photos prior to starting - frankly I should have posted these first - but a frame is a frame whether there are parts fixed to it or not. My apologies for the wheels - I don't have a work stand so always work with wheels on. Here's my latest project, bought just...

I'm thinking of trying Kayaking in Yorkshire.

Re: Sounds like a great idea - I've paddled most of the canals around Doncaster - although I wouldn't paddle on the Don - it's tidal and pretty filthy down river from Doncaster. I can recommend the Stainforth - Keadby canal, it cuts through some very pleasant countryside and there aren't many...

Re: Not sure on the dates the following models were from but they were all made in Reynolds 531 Pro - Aravis, Aneto, Perthus, Puymorens - I'm sure there are more but they're the only ones that spring to mind. I was looking at a Puymorens the other day - looked nice with full Shimano 600 group.

Loose BB Cup thread advice needed...

Re: I think the problem is the threads within the shell - I changed the BB awhile ago when I found the old cup had a chunk broken off - this might have caused excess play and worn them. In the meantime I'll have a look at the threadless option. Cheers, dave

Hi all, The drive side BB cup on my 80's Holdsworth has slipped off square (as if one side has moved 1 thread over) if that makes sense. I'm sure I read on here that its possible to glue these in? Any advice gratefully received. Dave
