Greetings, I noticed that the 8 speed freehub on a Shimano Dura Ace 7400 hub has many engagement points, around 36, and the one on my XTR M900 is about half of that. Does anyone know if these freehubs are interchangeable? I suppose I can have a crack at it, but maybe someone can save me the...

I'm in the US, btw. I went to the local bike co-op and could only find one for the right side; I need one for the left. There's a NOS set of these things on eBay. I'll probably end up forking over the $20 for it if I can't find it at the next bike shop that sells old parts.

I accidentally broke off the mounting plate for the Shimano Exage Mountain shifter that attaches it to the brake lever. I'm looking for a replacement or advice. Can I JB weld this back together you think?

Re: Suntour XC 9000 (I'll now consider anything!) I have a Suntour XC 9000 front derailleur in 31.8. I'm in California. My thread. It looks a little grungy in the picture, but I have cleaned it up since then.
