    Teaching disabled kids to ride

We tried a disabled riding charity in Weston-super-Mare. They were OK but it was fair run for us and little'un didn't seem to take to it so we stopped going. The tandem has been a massive hit though, and she want to go on it every weekend if it's dry out. We've already managed a rear puncture...

I forgot to add that we specced a crank freewheel for the stoker too. It means the timing can get a bit off - there was an odd pulsing as she brought her power in during my dead stroke - but it means she can take a rest or catch the pedals more easily if she slips a pedal. So many positives, and...

    Teaching disabled kids to ride

Little'uns tandem arrived earlier in the week and she had her first run on it yesterday. I think it was a big hit - should have seen her face. 😂 It just needs a few little tweaks to the saddle and control angles and it's all good from the box. If the weather stays fine I'm hoping we can get in...

For Sale Making Room in the shed!

I'd just like to thank everyone that helped out with the shed clearance by buying bits off me. It has been very timely as an extremely long box has been delivered today and is currently filling up half of my kitchen! I just need to find time to unbox the thing, and tinker with it before...

@ Montair. Thanks for being patient but I'm sorry to say the buyer of the Pashley (who had first dibs) decided they'd like them. Good luck with your hunting... All the best, Mark

For Sale Making Room in the shed!

@ Montair Sorry for not replying sooner. Tootyred decided not to take the bars in the end but I'm waiting on a potential buyer for the Pashley so I'd like to see what they fancied before splitting out the bike. If the Pashley interested party doesn't want the bars, they're all yours... Watch...

For Sale Making Room in the shed!

@ Montair, Sorry I'm not looking for a swap to be honest (but cheers for the offer) as I really do need to declutter the man cave for the tandem. Loving the picture though and hoping little'un loves hers (it is hers honestly) as much. Mind you I don't think there's much fear of that as she got...

For Sale Making Room in the shed!

All, with the impending purchase of a tandem to help my kid with cycling I need to make space in the shed so I'm looking to shift some bits on. I've not been on here for an absolute age so if my pricing is way off, please let me know - I'm happy to barter to a point... So the list is as...

Wanted Wanted 15" frame or xs hardtail / mountain bike -F&F or complete bike

I have a 1999 or 2000 DMR Trailstar frame in pretty good order if that's any use. It has horizontal dropouts but the same vintage chain tugs with a mech hanger. I also have a DMR branded seatpost of the same vintage to go with the frame. In fact I have almost a full bike in my spares bucket if...

    Teaching disabled kids to ride

To resurrect an ancient thread... Has it really been 4 years? Little'un has continued to struggle with her riding. The pedalling, balancing, steering and braking coordination skills have eluded her. Oh well. She has enjoyed running around with the pedals off though and can manage a good 2 miles...

The Raleigh rsp collection just grew a couple more :)

Hey there Jimmylad, you still not got my old DHO built up yet? What you waiting for? Seriously though, great collection. You still down at Sherwood? I ought to bring a bike over some time and we can have a hack round the woods... I still hanker after a Ti to relive my student days but I'd...
