Thanks that may be the answer in the end, am having the wheel straightened for the moment and see if it lasts any better this time. I am anxious to keep the bike as original as possible.

Clubman I had one of these from 1982 and loved it to pieces. Sadly got nicked in Newcastle. I could feel very tempted by this tho depends on the price. here's mine when brand new.

Have just acquired a Raleigh Gran Sport and am about to have it overhauled. Seems to be all original with all original campag equipments and the original Tornado saddle though I may put a Brookes one on for the moment. Looking forward to riding it at the Pendle Witches in March. My only puzzle...
