would like to say thank you for the advise as now i have all my gears working again used WD40 and 3 in 1 in aerosol form. After spraying it all in i just kept pushing the shifter levers and it all working now :D

some new pictures after having a cleaning session today still got to attack the handlebars and stem, lube up the chain and take it for a quick spin and see what its like. Think headset bearings need greasing aswell.
