Yes, I've noticed that in every photograph I take (iphone 15 I think?) but in person there's no green in it to my eye - there must be a bit for it to pick up I'm guessing. And thanks :)

Paint on! Just got to add the decals before I lacquer it. There is a small dent in the top tube but I didn't want to hide anything, so I've just left that as is.

    Dave Hinde/Brian Rourke - 90's Campagnolo

Based on what they told me that would likely be a 1977 frame built by Paul Washington.

Definitely looks like a Rourke frame. They provided me with some useful info on the numbering system, if you have the frame number I could take a look. Mine is a 1980 ordered (81 delivered) frameset with frame number 909.

So a little update, I did decide to paint the bike myself in the end as transporting the bike was becoming a nightmare, and I'd hate to ship it. So I took it to a local blasters for them to blast it and powdercoat prime it for me. Also, a bit arse about face, but I spread the rear triangle after...

Managed to find half an hour to disassemble it. Everything came off nicely other than the upper headset cup and haven't even attempted the fork crown race. The chrome is not quite as good as I remember it being so will be having that redone too. This is my forever bike so want to do it right...

I should say, technically it's booked in at Blue Whippet, the paint/frame side of the Rourkes business. http://www.blue-whippet.com/ some great examples of their work on the website.

Frame now booked in at Rourke's for the paintwork, turnaround is about 7 weeks so this thread is going to be quiet for some time yet! Decided on metallic yellow with pearl white panels edged in black. No lug lining as I've never really been a fan. I have to get the bike stripped down and shipped...

My brother on the Clive Stuart sometime around 1987 at a guess. I got my hands on it in 88/89 and rode it all over for a couple of years before I became obsessed with mountain bikes with the purchase of a Marin Palisades in that funky light grey Plastic paint they did.

Just picked up this frame last weekend off my Dad - his old road bike from the 80's. He had a few nice bikes when I was a kid, I remember his Harry Hall and a nice Peugeot 753 at some point, and he was good enough to buy my eldest brother a 531 Clive Stuart that I ended up with in the late 80's...

That is a thing of beauty! Did you have to reset the rear end? How did the brakes line up with the wheels, OK? I'm about to embark on a similar build with an early 80's Rourke and would love to know more/any details of the pitfalls of the conversion.
