I'll be buying a new bike in the next few weeks and not decided what to do with my Scott Motion . What could i ask for it if i decided to sell . http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... highlight= Has a few upgrades , XT V brakes and front mech, Suntour xtc v3 forks and a few other bits ..

I've never seen another Motion either , the bag came from a shop in the lake district at the end of the 90's ..

Should be getting a wheelset the weekend but the rear comes with a 8 speed cassette and i need to fit a 7 . Is it just a spacer i need to get ?

Wheelset wanted , 26" , rim brake , and must be in very good cond , 7 speed . Or 8/9 speed if i can add a spacer .. What have you got ?

I decided to get back on a bike to loose a bit of weight and get a bit fitter . I was going to buy a new one but i thought i'd spend a few quid on my Scott and get it in working order , so i renewed the tyres , forks and replaced the canti's with some XT VBrakes and a new XT front mech plus a...

Great thread and write-up , i had one of these in the 90's , had it from brand new , looks like the same model . Good memories ..
