Hi, Time to pass this lovely bike on. In the time I have had it, it has been ridden very little as it was too nice to get bashed up. I have added a 'shadow type' shimano rear mech and Thompson seat pillar as I did not like using a shim and undersized seat pillar. I bought some secondhand...

Has it got an horizontal toptube.? You mention it is 54cm c to t along the seat tube, is that the top of the tube or the top where the seat goes into the lug.?

So the carbon bikes give road buzz, is a myth purpetuated by retro snobs. Funny how some people really don't want to try different things. I much prefer to say that I tried a carbon bike so that I know what they really are like....and if I don't like the ride the I can comment with some...

'NOB' I hope the Boardman is as good a handler as you say. I really hope it is not a road buzz monster like '47P2' mentions. And as you and 'OLD NED' say compact gearing really is great...I sometimes think back to road races where it was quite normal to spend a fair amount of time 'honking'...

As in the title.... Being a born again cyclist of 14 months I have enjoyed getting out on my bikes. I have picked up 4 steel bikes and a modern full suspension MTB...all great fun. But a few days ago I had a look at a Boardman Pro Team Carbon and was very impressed. I have a Ron Cooper 753...

Is the ultegra rear mech still tight? as I need a mech for my training bike.

Re: Dura Ace 7700 brifters excellent. Bit confused chainset is not shown but I guess it is 120£. If the biffters shown are going for £90 I am happy to dibs them.

Are these suitable for this bike (Raleigh Mtrax 450 proline build. Virtually new. ) advertised on this site by 'going downhill' ? If so can I dibs them pls.

Don't really know anything about MTB's But a RSP made out of 853 must be good. just want a bike to tag along with some of my hardcore MTB riding mates....and when it is too icy on the roads, to go training on! :D

Re: Ron cooper "First ride" You lucky Bugger! I had a slightly later cooper in the lovely blue (single colour) that your bike has. Lever bosses were brazed and less chrome, but the rest was the same...a really lovely bike to race on. If you ever want to sell this beauty give me a PM!
