Got helmet, got bike prepped, just needs a bit of a shakedown (again) to get it setup and should be good to go. Not having been on a proper ride in a number of years what do you guys normally take along for nourishment? I've noticed in photos on other threads folk tend to wear lightweight...

This is one with its new tyres and cleaned up a bit Ill try to take some better ones and get them posted :) Sean

New tyres and tubes fitted today. Hubs stripped down, regreased and rebuilt but got some grumble, probably the bearing cups. :( Off for a little ride in a bit to see how it handles.

Cheers, is there anything specific I should look for re: headset? Will a modern 1" 'just fit'? Thanks Sean

Hi all, and thanks or the omments so far :) What are the benefits to swapping to pepperoni forks, or is it just a looks thing? I'm a little retiscent about starting swapping things out as im not sure what size things are. I know the bike could do with a new BB as before it was laid up...

Heh, This takes me back, I used to hang around in my LBS dreaming about owning a Marin or a Scott. Loved the finish on the Marins and the bonkers colour schemes. Didn't love the prices though... Sean
