    Cantilever boss thread ?

Thanks Keith. I'll check that the M6 doesn't fit again, after all the threads in the bosses could probably do with some cleaning up.

    Cantilever boss thread ?

thanks Keith. I tried an M6, but they're kind of loose until the threads start to cross. I was given some dia compe cantilevers with the frame but no bolts. I'm not sure if they are the original calipers that the bosses were brazed on for. I'm guessing they might have been Mafac.....

    Cantilever boss thread ?

Hi I'm currently building up a tandem using a 1952 Claud Butler frame. At some point it has had cantilever bosses installed & I'm trying to work out what the thread is to get some replacement bolts. It's definitely not an M6 like is used today for cantilever brakes. Anyone got any ideas ?

OLMO road bike 56cm for possible trade for track bike.

Hi, I have this OLMO that I restored. it's made of ORIO tubing 56cm. I've ridden it twice since having the frame powder coated. It's all Campagnolo (Mirage, Centaur, Veloce)apart from the seat pin & the headset. The problem is it's just a bit small for me. I have been toying with the idea...

    campagnolo xenon/mirage questions

Hello, I've just finished rebuilding an OLMO which uses Campagnolo xenon shifters & a mirage rear mech (not sure of front mech, bur it's Campagnolo) using an 8 speed block. generally the system seems to work, possibly requiring some tweaking. I have some questions, which may seem a bit dumb...

Thanks for the response. What tape do you use & is it easy to use, & do the tyres feel like they're firmly stuck on when you come ot remove them ?

    Rim cement

Just wondering what the best rim cement is nowadays. I have been using the Continental Aluminium Rim cement since I fixed up my old bike last year, but it seems like a really lengthy arduous procedure over several days, & when I take an old tyre off it feels like it's barely stuck on at all...

The RB Official Road Cycling Book Review Thread

The Cycling past 50 book is good, but the well laid out training regimes that you talk about seem to be what you could find in any training book. It's the rest of the content, in my view, is what is relevant to the books title. Never the less an interesting read.

Need some info on OLMO bike & Campag parts

I actually bought this bike quite cheaply with the intention of getting it working so I could leave it at a friends place near Toulouse, so I had a bike to do some of the Pyrenean Cols on. So it won't get used a great deal if that's what happens to it. However I do want the the brakes to be...

Need some info on OLMO bike & Campag parts

I also have a plastic xenon rear mech on this bike. Do any 8 speed shifters from the campagnolo range work for any rear mech ? Sorry for all these questions, I've only ever had bikes with friction levers before, so it's completely new to me.

Need some info on OLMO bike & Campag parts

thanks for all the info guys, very much appreciated. I have some Stronglight rings coming for the Centaur chainset that are supposed to be 8/9/10 speed compatible, so I will have to check when they arrive. Although I could probably use an original Centaur 53 tooth ring I have since the block...

Need some info on OLMO bike & Campag parts

Hi I have recently bought an OLMO bike that I'm in the process of stripping down to get refinished as the paintrok is not so good & there are some rust patches. I am then intending to rebuild & have some questions: I'm not entirely sure of the model of the Frame but the rear brake lever runs...

brake lever rubbers to fit campag gran sport levers ?

Yes, they seem expensive & are described as being thinner than the originals, which seems to defeat the point in getting them, since I'm not looking to buy for cosmetic reasons. I'm not really understanding why Hudz seem to make every putrid colour under the sun apart from black & tan...

brake lever rubbers to fit campag gran sport levers ?

I'm looking to buy some rubber thingees to fit my old Campagnolo gran Sport brake levers. My old hands are getting sore just gripping the metal lever bodies. I'm not wanting to spend my life savings on some NOS ones. Can anyone recommend any other more "cost effective" solutions ? Has...
