Hi Robbie I have always taken it to be 17", but I'm not sure how/ where to measure. I attached a photo showing a tape measure from the top of the bottom bracket to the top tube, and that shows about 15"? I'm 5' 10" if that helps at all.

Re: Thank you very much. I did think that might be the seat post size, as the seat tube out of my Kona (which is stamped as 27.0mm) was a fraction too big..... Appreciate the speed of your reply, and for the confirmation. Now to find a period correct top pull XT front shifter.... Regards Carl
