Kona Humuhumu Nukunuku A Pua deluxe 2005

Hi folks. Thought I would share my Humu build. It's an ongoing process. It's been a fun trail bike for sure after getting rid of the heavy cruiser parts. Some may say "lipstick on a pig" but I don't care. XTR brakes/SRAM drivetrain, 27.5 carbon wheels and other modern gear may not be to everyone...

Kona PhD - frame colour ?

Need some help here. This Kona PhD which I believe is from 2010 needs a headset. Haven't worked with this standard for ages but it looks like Integrated - aka the bearings that is resting on the frame without cups. The width is about 41.x mm. https://99spokes.com/en-EU/bikes/kona/2010/ph.d...

That's nice and sorry for this late answer. But postage and custom cost to Denmark wan't make that feasible.

Kona PhD - frame colour ?

I went through the different label design and it's a 2008. The sticker on the downtube is unique for this year. Not a bad bike back in the day with 105/ultegra components. The color was white only ... with some shiny details. I'll try and clean the frame up and see what's hiding beneath the...

Kona PhD - frame colour ?

Hi Retro folks A friend of mine gave me a fairly patinated Kona PhD frame. Thing is that I'll have brush down some severe oxidation in the rear frame including the BB area. It could be fixed with some black Hammerite and a new black carbon fork. But if I could get hold of the name of the...

Need help - was there ever made an steel ATB/MTB frame in my desired geometry?

I’ll do that. Rode a F600 back in day and that had plenty of slope.

Need help - was there ever made an steel ATB/MTB frame in my desired geometry?

Singular is nice but I was hoping to find something more retro/vintage. But I’ll have a look at the Singular back catalog. The Gryphon has the frame geometry I’m searching for

Need help - was there ever made an steel ATB/MTB frame in my desired geometry?

Hi retro folks I have been looking for a old school steel ATB/MTB frame with a sloping top tube, fairly long headtube and a big (road'ish) BB drop It's to be my commuter bike for occasional dirt/gravel forest road and bikepacking/touring. Did someone make that kind of frame geometry back in...

Correct thread pattern for canti post on GT Xizang 199-X

Hello. I think this is the right place to ask: I purchased a GT Xizang Ti last week without the canti post installed. To my big surprise I realized today that the canti post I had lying around doesn't fit. And they don't fit the Surly fork as well I got for this frame :?: The...
