    A Cast of Falcons

Re: I suppose an alternative solution could be bar end shifters as opposed to stem shifters, slightly more in keeping and you don't leave the handlebars to shift? I don't have much experience with bar end shifters, but loads of people do on here and can give you a better steer. I have no issue...

    A Cast of Falcons

Re: I've got a real soft spot for Falcons (currently doing up a 70's Falcon Olympic). and the two you have there, though not in the best of shape are still nice looking bikes. With regard to shifters for your sisters bike, you could perhaps use stem shifters? something like this: And as for...

    20" 90's Kona or similar

Afternoon all, I usually reside in the road forum, couple of my mates are bullying me into going riding with them. I've taken a look around and I really like the look of Kona's, though as I know next to nothing about mountain bikes I'm open to offers of different makes. I've done a bit of...

    Campagnolo Veloce 8 Speed Groupset

Can anyone help me with the above? Does not have to be NOS, quite frankly I'd accept something on its last legs. Also doesn't need to be Veloce, can be a mixture of campag bits. Hope to hear from someone soon! Thanks all.

    WTD: 61-63cm Continental Bike

Up until now I've always ridden British made bikes, and I've enjoyed every minute. But of late I've had a real urge for a more european frame. I really like the look of Concorde, Merckx & Pinarello's. But I'm open to any offers, preferably mid 80's to early 90's and in the above sizes. I just...

Any frame building books out there?

Search google for The Paterek Manual: For Bicycle Framebuilders by Tim Paterek. Pretty much a step by step guide. Another one to look for is Bicycling Science by Frank Rowland Whitt and David Gordon Wilson, not really building but, does have some interesting points throughout.
